Men Suicide Statistics: Recently Atul Subhash, an engineer from Bengaluru, committed suicide. Atul was working as an AI engineer in a company in Bengaluru. Due to harassment from his wife and his in-laws, Atul decided to commit suicide. Let us tell you that before committing suicide, Atul Subhash Modi made and posted a video of about one and a half hour. So along with this he also left behind a suicide note of 24 pages.
Where he told all the things about the atrocities and mental torture that happened to him. At present, Bengaluru Police has registered a case against Atul’s wife Nikita Singhania and her in-laws for abetting suicide. Atul is not the first man to commit suicide due to mental torture. Every five minutes a man is committing suicide
Every year more than 7 lakh people commit suicide. Not so many people die from diseases like breast cancer, HIV and malaria. The number of people who lose their lives due to suicide. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), men commit suicide more than women. According to the NCRB report in India, out of every 100 people who commit suicide, 70 are men. According to NCRB data, 1,64,033 people committed suicide in India in the year 2021, of which 1,18,989 i.e. 73% were men. So there were only 4,50,26 women. According to these figures, one man committed suicide every 5 minutes.

Statistics of men’s suicide will surprise you
According to NCRB data, most of the suicide cases in India involved people in the age group of 30 to 45 years. After this, people between the age group of 18 to 30 years are included. However, this figure was less in people between 45 and 60 years of age. According to the data of the year 2021, 5,20,54 people in the age group of 30 to 45 years committed suicide, out of which 78 percent were men.

So, 5,65,43 people between the age of 18 to 30 years had committed suicide. In which 67 percent were men. Whereas 3,01,63 people aged between 45 to 60 years had committed suicide. In which 81 percent men were included. 1,09,749 married people committed suicide, of which 74 percent were men.
